Thanks!

Daddy Cool would like to thank Gallin’s Guitars for helping Ross Hannaford recover from the theft of his equipment.
Hanna's Gear Reappears!
Feb 06, 2008 at 03:53 PM
Stolen from outside his house last October, on the eve of Daddy Cool's national tour with The Beach Boys, Ross Hannaford's van, and irreplacable amps, guitars, pedals & custom gadgets have reappeared. Turns out the stolen van was abandoned/parked for 3 months in a street only 3km from his place.

The guy who's place it was parked outside of wanted his parking space back so started poking around, found that the van was unlocked; hello what's under that tarp?, musical gear! Found Hanna's name & phone number somewhere in there & voila! it all goes home. Case closed as Hanna counts his blessings. BTW don't forget that Hanna now has his own MySpace HERE!

Sunrise has got ’The Christmas Bug’
Dec 18, 2007 at 11:07 PM
Daddy Cool hates getting up early (we're night people) but why should we when 'Sunrise ' on Ch7 do it for us? They've been playing our bopster 'The Christmas Bug' as a lead in to the breaks. Go Kochy Go!

'The Christmas Bug' is on 'The New Cool' album and has also been added to live365.com internet radio station ChristmasRadio.com - they play Christmas music all year! And as a single at iTunes. Not many sleeps to go.

T.F.Much - Daddy Cool & Spectrum
Oct 24, 2007 at 12:42 PM
Daddy Cool & Spectrum, who both exploded out of the T.F.Much Ballroom in 1971 with national No 1 hits, will be playing together for the first time in decades at the Wool Exchange, Geelong, on Wednesday October 31st. It can't happen in Melbourne because of conditions attached to the Daddy Cool & Beach Boy's tour so if you want to see this historic OzRock reunion you'll have to make the effort & get down to Geelong.

P.S. the venue is brand new & pumpin' www.woolexchange.com.au.

Check out Brecon Walsh’s amazing photos of Daddy Cool at the original T F Much Ballroom (Cathedral Hall, Brunswick St, Fitzroy) on the Photos Page.

Ross Hannaford's Gear Stolen
Oct 17, 2007 at 01:42 PM
On the eve of their first national tour in over thirty years, Daddy Cool guitarist Ross Hannaford has been robbed of his most valuable possessions, his musical instruments.

In what appears to be a random joy ride robbery, Ross' 1989 white Toyota Hi Ace van QRN 479 was stolen from the Melbourne suburb of Yarraville in the early hours of Sunday morning with all Ross' gear concealed under a tarp in the back.

Stolen along with the van were:

- Chandler 555 Guitar - customised and hand painted in Red Yellow and Green sunray design.
- Ampeg Jet II amplifier.
- Rare 5 watt Diason amplifier.
- Home made amplifier in Diason Cabinet with Peavey 158 Blazer head and Marantz 12" speaker.
- Green and yellow Indian "hippy" bag with Boss Phrase Sampler, MXR phase 90 and Tremit Tremolo pedal.

All of these instruments are unique and irreplaceable, so musicians around Australia, keep an eye out for them. If you see or hear anything please contact the Police or Mark Sydow Management @ www.marksydow.com
